Lewis Hamilton Claims Victory in Chinese GP Sprint Shootout

Lewis Hamilton claims victory for the first time in red in the Chinese Grand Prix. It was a phenomenal drive from the Britan who led the whole race exceptionally well. The 19-lap sprint shootout was boring at the start but as the laps ran down things started getting quite interesting and saw some spicy overtakes and crashes.

Let’s dive into the review.

Drive of a Champion by Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton claims victory in the sprint race for the first time as a Ferrari driver. This is the first time that Ferrari has won a sprint shootout. The 7-time world champion had a great start and kept Max Verstappen behind him under intense pressure. He nursed his tires throughout the sprint race, and when Verstappen and Oscar Piastri had their scuffle for 2nd position, he quietly extended his lead. Piastri eventually took second place from Verstappen, who finished 3rd place.

Behind the trio came George Russell and Charles Leclerc, who were followed by Yuki Tsunoda and Kimi Antonelli. Last weekend’s race winner, Lando Norris, finished 8th and took the last points of the sprint.

The Rookie Chaos Continues

The rookies had another banger outing with some tasty and wheel-banging overtakes at the end of the grid. Liam Lawson lost his front-end plate after a witty overtake. Jack Doohan nearly blocked the road at the end of the Grand Prix as he collided with Gabriel Bortoleo and limped home last in the shootout.
